I got up early this morning to go to the pub and watch the Arsenal vs. Manchester United match. It was a great match that ended up as a 1-1 draw. It's much more fun watching the match in a pub. I met some cool people, had an english breakfast, some tea, and a Boddingtons.

I spent the rest of the day at the beach. Finally, we had a sunny, 80 degree day!

I spent some time at the movies today. I saw two great films: Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind (with Jim Carrey and Kate Winslet) and Mayor Of The Sunset Strip (a documentary about Rodney Bingenheimer).

Today I checked out the new West Hollywood Gateway shopping plaza that just opened. Not all the shops are open yet, but I went to Target (my first time) and Beverages & More. Target was okay... I got myself some new socks, BevMo is the best! They have thousands of wines, spirits, beers, and sodas. I bought myself some fancy sodas that I've never tried before: Red Rock Premium Cola, Faygo Vanilla Creme Soda, Faygo Original Redpop, and Riggs & Forsythe Bitter Lemon. Mmm... I can't wait to try them!

Tonight I went to the N*E*R*D/Black Eyed Peas show at the Wiltern with Alex, Lisa, and Paige. Before the show we went to Luna Park and got some food and drinks. I got a really cook drink called "Like A Pepper Too" which was a make-your-own-drink consisting of an old-school bottle of Dr. Pepper, some vanilla syrup, Absolut Vanilla vodka, and Dr. Pepper flavored jelly beans. It was yummy.

The show started out kinda slow. Clipse opened up and sang his "Hot Damn" song. Then the Black Eyed Peas went on. They were very good, but I really wasn't in the mood for seeing them. I just wanted to see N*E*R*D. For their last song, "Where Is The Love?", Justin Timberlake made an appearance and sang with them which was a good surprise. Finally, N*E*R*D hit the stage and they were amazing. They played all their good songs, old and new, and they even played Pharrel's "Frontin'." Justin came back out and sang almost every song with them! Great show!

The first weekend of spring and it's still cloudy and cool. The sun finally came out at 5pm today. A little too late. I didn't do too much this weekend. On Saturday, I met Alex and her mom on Main Street. And, today I spent the day with Lashaun.

It took all week to recover from Monday night, but I think I've finally caught up on my sleep. Today, my boss let me out a little early, so I went down to the Howard Hughes Center and saw the NASCAR 3D Imax movie. It was very good, but short. Imax movies are usually around 45 minutes long. It was really cool seeing a race on such a huge screen. I bet someday soon we'll be watching live events on screens that large all the time.

I had to work all night last night moving servers... 24 hours straight! Yawn. I'm sleepy. I've got tickets to see Dropkick Murphys tonight, but I don't think I'm gonna make it. I want to go to the beach, but weather.com lies, lies, lies.

Tonight, I went to the grand re-opening of Hear Music on Third Street. As I was walking in, I heard a familliar voice behind me. I turned around and there was Rufus Wainwright standing right behind me! They were setting up a stage, and I guess he performed, but I didn't stick around.

The weather this weekend was a little disappointing. It had been sunny and hot all week and I was hoping to go to the beach, but it ended up being cloudy and cool all weekend. And I'm not looking forward to Monday because I have to work late (probably all night).

I had a very unpleasant day at work today. I'm glad to be home. I'll be even happier when this week is over. Last night was fun though. I met my friend Piggles at Bobby Loco's where we had some banana margaritas and fish tacos...mmm. Then we went to see Starsky & Hutch which is really, really funny. Go see it. Do it! DO IT!

Today was a beach day. It had to have been the nicest day of the year so far. After going to the new Krispy Kreme in Santa Monica, Kristin and I went for a walk on the beach. Then, we came home and Kristin had to catch her flight back to Boston. I went back to the beach and met Lashaun and Charlotte and we sat on the beach for a little while. Then I met Lisa and we went to the pier and had some margaritas and mexican food. Remind me never to move.

Today Kristin and I went to the outlet stores in Camarillo. I got some nice shirts at Barneys New York and lots of goodies from Harry and David. Later, we went to see The Fog of War, a great documentary by Errol Morris (a relative?) about Robert McNamara who was the Secretary of Defense during the Vietnam War and the Cuban Missile Crisis.

Last night, my friend Lashaun came over and brought a bunch of girls from the hostel next door. We ended having a fun little party.

My friend Kristin is in town visiting this week. Last night, she went to see Elvis Costello while I stayed home and watched
A Chinese Ghost Story. Tonight, we went to see Rufus Wainwright at UCLA's Royce Hall. We heard a rumor that Elton John was going to make a surprise appearance and he did! He came onstage and sang Greek Song with Rufus and at the end of the song they kissed!
