Jamie Morris : null : Willie @ The Wiltern
Willie @ The Wiltern

Today, my friend Isabel gave me this great photo of Willie Nelson from the concert I went to on Friday. Her Rolling Stone photographer friend, Karl Larson, took the picture and signed it for me. Thanks Isabel! And Karl! I also just signed up for a Photoshop class at UCLA Extension that starts in April. It should be more fun than the technical classes I've taken in the past and it's FREE. Thanks Paramount!

Welcome to my new website! I decided this week that I needed to change the look of my site. I've been working on it all week, and this is what I came up with. It's not completely done, but it's good enough to publish. One thing I still need to work on is my photo galleries. They're kinda messy.

Last night was a very exciting night. I went to see Willie Nelson at the Wiltern Theatre. It was an amazing show. I was in the front row with Niki. After the show, I ate a Fatburger and then got a bellyache. I made it home just in time to watch the premiere of Da Ali G Show. He is sooooo funny. I wish the show was longer than a half hour.

Jamie Morris : null : Happy Birthday Erin!
Happy Birthday Erin!

Happy Birthday Erin!!!!

I had a pretty good weekend. Friday night was fun. After the Valentine's Bash, I went to the King's Head and played some darts. Saturday, I went to see Sounds Of Memphis at the Santa Monica Film Festival. It was an interesting, but brief, documentary about the early days of blues, rock, and R&B in Memphis. Sunday was the Daytona 500. It wasn't a good race to watch because it got cut short due to rain, but I'm glad Michael Waltrip won. I ended my long weekend today by going to see a rather uninteresting documentary called Derrida about the French philosopher. I also bought a new jacket today to replace my blue sweatshirt that's getting too many holes in it. Tonight, I suppose I'll watch Joe Millionaire. (I didn't fall for the trick FOX pulled last week)

Jamie Morris : null : Happy Valentine's Day!
Happy Valentine's Day!

Happy Valentine's Day everyone! Today was a good day at work. They let us go home early, and I got lots of hugs and kisses from my wonderful co-workers. Tonight, I'm going to Erin's Valentine's Day Bash, but I'm not sure if I'll be able to stay up too late. Last night I went to see the Lucha Va Voom show at the Mayan featuring La Lucha Libre Mexican Wrestlers and the girls of the Velvet Hammer Burlesque. It was so much fun. I wish they did this every week!

Ok, I realize it has only rained here twice in the past year, but that's enough. Someone make is stop! I didn't move to LA for the clouds. Because of this beautiful weather, I haven't done too much this week other than watching movies. Last night I watched Dogtown And Z-Boys, a great documentary about skateboarding in Santa Monica in the '70s. On Monday, my friend Mary (famous for being a butt double in Critters 3) gave me a pass to see a screening of Old School. It's really really really really funny, but of course it'll probably get horrible reviews. Also this week... I'm making plans to take some classes this spring at UCLA Extension since Paramount is willing to pay for them 100%! Also I'm going to Texas for a couple days next month. YeeHaw! I'll be making stops in Austin (not Boston), the Johnson Space Center, and a Rockets game so I can see Yao Ming.

Eeeeek! There's a mouse in my house! I think I've got him trapped under my bookcase. Now I need to get a mouse trap to catch him, because he's very small and too quick for me. Today Erin, Eddie, and Ellie came over to pick up their new computer (my old one) and they took me to Jinky's for breakfast. Mmmm. I think they must have brought the mouse with them, because I've never seen one here before. I didn't do too much today. I watched the Budweiser Shootout. Last night, I went to see How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days. Pretty funny movie. Go see it.

I went to see The Lord Of The Rings: The Two Towers again last night. Gollum is the coolest. Tonight, I finished upgrading my computer. I've got a new flat panel monitor and an optical mouse. I think I'm done spending money on my PC this year.

I just finished watching the Michael Jackson documentary on 20/20. I think it was very interesting. Jackson is a lot more normal than I thought he was. But, I do think the interviewer, Martin Bashir, was a complete idiot. He was very closed-minded and didn't really listen to anything Michael was saying. I would have to agree with Michael when he stated the show was "a gross distortion of the truth and a tawdry attempt to misrepresent his life and his abilities as a father." After the documentary, I watched a much better British show called The Office. In other TV news, I found out my favorite show, Dawson's Creek is getting canceled. :(

PS: The FBI is watching you.

It was a quick week... I was busy, busy, busy. This morning I got up early and spent most of the morning watching CNN playing video of the space shuttle breaking apart. I got really tired of that and decided to do something a little more fun. Niki came over and we went down to the beach and did some rollerblading. Then we went to see Catch Me If You Can, which was really, really good. I think it's the best movie I've seen since Lord Of The Rings. It's based on the autobiography of Frank W. Abagnale. It's hard to believe he did some of these things.
