I saw another movie today: Minority Report. It was really, really good. Go see it.

Tonight I went to a soccer match at the LA Coliseum between Club America (Mexico) and River Plate (Argentina). It was a lot of fun. It was the first time I've been to a soccer match that I wasn't playing in. The local favorites (Club America) won 2-1 with River Plate scoring their only goal with five seconds left in the match. The match ended with the 20,000 Mexican fans throwing beer and soda at the handful of Argentinian fans. It was pretty pathetic. They take the sport way too seriously, but I hope they have more games at the Coliseum. It was fun.

I've spent the last two days reading my new Flash Book. I'm more than half way through. I highly recommend it if you want to learn the basics of Flash. It's published by friends of ED and it's one of the top sellers on Amazon.com.

Today, everyone on the net seems to be passing around this flash cartoon about DEN that was on Fucked Company. It's really funny (and it's pretty much a true story). They were right down the street from where I worked at Atomic Pop.

I just went to see Pumpkin starring Christina Ricci (my true love). It was a good movie that became even better when they started playing Belle & Sebastian (my other true love)!

Today I got my first Flash book at Borders. It's called Foundation Macromedia Flash MX. It seems like a good book for learning the basics. What I really want to learn is ActionScripting and creating dynamic content with Flash, but I think I need to start here. Hopefully I'll finish it in a few days and then move on to the cool stuff.

I got up early to watch Germany beat South Korea. It was a good match. I'll be sad when the World Cup is over. It's much more exciting than Baseball, Basketball or Football. I hope it gets more popular here. It seems to be catching on. Landon Donovan got the cover of Sports Illustrated on the same week as the NBA Finals, the Stanley Cup, and the U.S. Open.

Today I officially turned my old site updates and life updates into a weblog, because that's what it really is. What is a weblog? Well, it's something in between an online journal and a list of links. Check out this article from salon.com to find out more.

I just read an article that said Stephen Hawking has won one of the world's most prestigious awards for popular science writing. I just started reading his book A Brief History Of Time and it's really good. I highly recommend it if you're interested in where the universe came from and how it began. The new book that he received the award for is called The Universe in a Nutshell and is a sequal to the first book. I'm sure that one is good too. A lot of people don't know it, but Professor Hawking is also a gangsta rapper. Check out some of his music here!

Today I had lunch at Fabiolas with ERIKA and my friend Kris who I haven't seen in quite awhile. I had Penne alla Vodka. It was yummy. Now I'm rearranging my home page. It just wasn't very efficient. I'll try this out and see how it works. I think I'll go to bed early though so I can get up want watch Germany vs. South Korea. I think I'm gonna cheer for Germany because I really loved it there when I visited in May, and besides, Koreans hate Americans. I don't think I can cheer for someone who hates me, even though it would be cool to see someone new win the World Cup. In 2006, the World Cup will be in Germany. Maybe I'll go!

Today I decided to check out the BBC website because it got nominated for a bunch of Webby Awards. I listened to the UK Top 40 Singles Countdown on Radio 1. It was quite good. Better than the US Charts. My mom even liked it. Elvis was #1 again for the second straight week with A Little Less Conversation with Junkie XL. It only got popular because it was in these Nike commercials. A lot of people seem to be getting popular from commercials.

I went back to see the Red Sox lose to the Dodgers again. This time with the NU Alumni Group. They almost came back from losing 9-0 in the third inning, but still ended up losing 9-6. How come the Dodgers never win when I go and cheer for them? Somehow I managed to get a sunburn, but only on my kneecaps. Weird...

Lauren, Nick & Allison just left my apartment. We just played a friendly game of Sorry. Nick won. (He must have cheated) We came back here after having a scrumptious dinner at La Bottega. Mmm... Ravioli. It's 10:30pm... I'm gonna go watch Crank Yankers.

I think it's time for me to learn something new. Since Flash seems to be the popular thing at work these days, I decided to download Flash MX and do some tutorials. It can do some cool things, but I still haven't found any Flash websites that I like. Most of them are really hard to use, but maybe I can find some use in it.

I went to the eye doctor today and had an eye exam. My eyesite hasn't changed much in the past three years, so that's a good thing. I'm using my new Viacom vision plan to get some new glasses. I ordered a $400 pair of Armani glasses with Transitions lenses for $150. Not bad. Transitions lenses are supposed to get darker when it's bright out so you don't need sunglasses. I hope they work.

Today was the big Santa Monica Street Party. It was pretty fun. I got to see Sixpence None The Richer.

I also finally saw Memento. Not a bad movie. I thought it would annoy me since it's backwords, but I liked it.

Man... I really need to update my website more often. Now, that I think about it, this section was supposed to be for updates to my website, but it has basically turned into a "what I did last weekend page" with a pic and a few links. It's not really a site update, and it's not really a journal. I guess it's more like a weblog, except I don't update it enough. Well, starting today that's gonna change.

So, anyways, I'm really, really tired today because I stayed up all night watching the World Cup. My two favorite teams (England and USA) both lost. It's too bad because USA played much better than Germany.

Tonight, I went to see the Red Sox play at Dodger Stadium for the first time ever. It was a good game even though the Red Sox lost and I ended up going by myself because the three people I was originally supposed to go with all canceled on me.

Jamie Morris : null : Golden Jubilee
Golden Jubilee

Happy Jubilee!!!
I spent pretty much the whole weekend celebrating
The Queen's Golden Jubilee at Ye Olde King's Head Pub.
I added some pics to my King's Head gallery,
including David showering in the fountain in front of my apartment!
I also went to Jim & Tami's wedding which was one of the most fun weddings ever.
And of course I watched the Lakers, the World Cup, and NASCAR.
Oh! And I went to see Undercover Brother... probably my fav movie of the year so far.
It's based on a really cool web cartoon. Check out the newest episode
at UrbanEntertainment.com featuring Eminem.
